There’s also a good selection of shops, waterside cafés, and restaurants. Wroxham Barns is just a few minutes’ drive with craft barns, boutique and shops, restaurants, play park and petting farm, which the younger children adore!
The seaside resort of Sea Palling has excellent sandy beach backed by sand dunes, restaurant, small arcade and café, 18 minutes’ drive. Bygone museums, craft centres, National Trust parks and Blickling and Felbrigg Halls are all within an easy drive. The city of Norwich, 13 miles, has a magnificent cathedral, castle museum, art galleries, cinemas, theatre, cafés, fine restaurants, and excellent shopping. Blakeney Quay and Morston Harbour located further along the north Norfolk coast offer seal watching boat trips, and pubs and restaurants serving superb locally caught seafood. Sea Palling, Cromer and Sheringham beaches are great for sea fishing, and alongside the River Bure for river fishing. There are many fishing lakes within surrounding area, and great golf courses are within an easy drive.
